However, this evolution has also raised ethical challenges concerning betting practices (maysir). This article aims to analyze the phenomenon of modern sports through the lens of Fiqh ethics, focusing on the legitimacy of sponsorship contracts, the legal status of betting, and the implementation of muamalah principles in maintaining the integrity of sports. The methodology employed is qualitative research with a library research approach, referencing the resolutions of the Majmaʿ al-Fiqh al-Islāmī and the fatwas of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI). The findings indicate that sponsorship is permissible as long as the promoted object does not contradict Sharia (i.e., not involving alcohol, gambling, or usury). Meanwhile, sports betting is categorized as strictly forbidden (haram) gambling because it contains elements of speculation (gharar) and the risk of material loss for participants. This article also formulates the parameters distinguishing between betting and prize-based competitions (ju’alah), where prizes must originate from a third party and be based on physical skill rather than luck. In conclusion, the application of Fiqh ethics in modern sports is crucial to ensuring that the industry's financial progress remains aligned with the objectives of Maqāṣid al-Sharīʿah, namely preserving the moral and spiritual welfare of the community.
2026-04-30T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Sulham Efendi Hasibuan, Nur Alia Harahap, Suci Pitriani Siregar, Annisa Barutu, Puji Maharani Harahap http://ejournal.auliantech.org/index.php/spora/article/view/20 Massage Therapy Applied During Static Stretching as an Approach to Reducing Ankle Injury Pain 2026-04-24T16:29:09+07:00 Ronaldo Wijaya Ronaldowijaya45@guru.smp.belajar.id
Ankle injuries are among the most common sports-related injuries and often result in pain and limitations in joint range of motion (ROM). This study aimed to introduce and describe massage therapy applied during static stretching as a novel approach for managing pain in post-acute ankle injuries. A descriptive, practice-based research design was employed and conducted in Bengkulu Province, Indonesia. The study involved 20 clients with ankle injuries who had passed the acute phase of injury. The intervention began with light massage to observe and identify the injured area, followed by static stretching combined with massage to release muscle stiffness and myofascial trigger points, and concluded with pain assessment and ROM evaluation. The results showed that the majority of participants experienced a reduction in pain and an improvement in ROM after a single treatment session. Specifically, 70% of participants improved from mild pain to no pain with maximal ROM, 20% improved from moderate pain to no pain with maximal ROM, and 10% of participants with severe pain showed partial improvement to mild pain with moderate ROM. These findings indicate that massage therapy applied during static stretching is effective in reducing pain and improving ROM in post-acute ankle injuries, particularly in cases with mild to moderate pain. This method is recommended for application only after the acute phase of injury has resolved and in the absence of active inflammation.
2026-04-30T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Ronaldo Wijaya http://ejournal.auliantech.org/index.php/spora/article/view/31 Evaluating the Efficacy of Project-Based Learning for Student-Athletes: A Comparative Analysis 2026-04-03T00:32:47+07:00 Muhammad Faqih Al Farisi mfaqih@mail.uinfasbengkulu.ac.id Ferri Susanto mfaqih@mail.uinfasbengkulu.ac.id Anita mfaqih@mail.uinfasbengkulu.ac.id
This research aimed to investigate the effect of implementing the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) method on the improvement of speaking skills among eleventh-grade athletes at SMAN Keberbakatan Olahraga Kota Bengkulu. The study employed a quasi-experimental design with a quantitative approach. Data collection was conducted from August 18th to September 18th, 2025. The results indicated that while the PjBL method contributed to an improvement in athletes’ speaking skills as evidenced by the experimental class's mean score increase from 21.95 in the pre-test to 36.4 in the post-test, it was less effective than the conventional method. The control class, which utilized conventional instruction, showed a more significant improvement, with the mean pre-test score rising from 28.85 to 68.8 in the post-test. Statistical analyses confirmed a significant difference between the two groups. The findings suggest that, within this specific context, the conventional method proved more effective in enhancing speaking proficiency. This outcome is attributed to the athletes' familiarity with direct learning, which allowed for a more focused and systematic delivery of instructional material.
2026-04-30T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Muhammad Faqih Al Farisi, Ferri Susanto, Anita http://ejournal.auliantech.org/index.php/spora/article/view/32 Teammate Social Support as a Predictor of Fear of Returning to Play in Collegiate Athletes 2026-04-04T00:58:53+07:00 Ranielle Lingan ranielle.ligan@up.edu.ph Marvin Luis C. Sabado ranielleligan.updiliman@up.edu.ph
This study examined whether social support from teammates predicts the fear of returning to play (FRTP) among collegiate athlete post-rehabilitation. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 86 collegiate athletes through the Social Support Questionnaire (SSQ) and the Fear to Return Sport Scale (FRESS). Linear regression analysis revealed that the model accounted for 28% of the variance in fear levels (R2 = .28, p < .001). Crucially, results indicated that satisfaction with support was a significant negative predictor of fear (β = -.48, p < .01), whereas the number of supportive teammates was not a significant predictor (p = .24). These findings suggest that the quality of peer interactions is more influential than the quantity of supporters in mitigating psychological barriers. The results inform the implementation of team-based communication workshops and peer-support training to optimize psychological recovery. Future research should consider variables outside this scope, such as the timing and type of support provided alongside injury severity. By prioritizing high-quality functional support, athletic programs can better facilitate a resilient transition back to competition.
2026-04-30T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Ranielle Lingan, Marvin Luis C. Sabado http://ejournal.auliantech.org/index.php/spora/article/view/34 Sport Climbing as an Extracurricular Activity in Primary School 2026-04-19T23:53:12+07:00 Anja Unuk anja.u@uni-lj.si Blaž Jereb anja.u@uni-lj.si
Sport climbing is experiencing a rapid surge in popularity within the Slovenian educational landscape, largely driven by international competitive success and a growing recognition of its multifaceted benefits for childhood motor development, including significant improvements in coordination, flexibility, endurance, and upper-body strength. Despite the widespread installation of climbing infrastructure in school gymnasiums across the country, a critical research gap persists regarding the effective utilization of these facilities, as recent data indicates that over fifty percent of physical education teachers report a lack of professional competence and technical confidence in delivering climbing-specific content. To address this institutional challenge, the present study employs a descriptive methodological framework and a synthesis of expert pedagogical experience to develop a comprehensive instructional system specifically tailored for the primary school environment. The research centers on the critical paradigm of equipment literacy as a foundational safety prerequisite, moving beyond mere technical operation to foster a deep-seated culture of responsibility and risk management among young learners. The primary output of this study is a structured, evidence-based curriculum featuring nine progressive lesson plans designed to span three distinct three-year developmental periods, ensuring that skill acquisition is age-appropriate and methodologically sound. By prioritizing the safety chain and the implementation of top-rope climbing utilizing modern self-locking belay devices, the study provides a scientifically grounded and ready-to-use resource that bridges the prevailing gap between available school infrastructure and teacher instructional capacity. This framework ultimately enhances the quality of extracurricular sports programs, promotes institutional safety standards, and fosters a sustainable culture of lifelong physical literacy and athletic engagement among primary school students.
2026-04-30T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Anja Unuk, Blaž Jereb
